As part of a current packaging project, a customised solution was developed using a PE foam block with precise contour cuts. The aim was to provide optimum protection for sensitive components during transport and storage while at the same time enabling efficient handling. The polyethylene foam used is characterised by its low weight, high dimensional stability and excellent damping properties. The precisely tailored contour cuts hold the products securely in place, preventing them from slipping and providing reliable protection against shocks, vibrations and damage.
In addition, the packaging provides clear product identification and supports ergonomic processes during packing and unpacking. The solution is durable, reusable and can be individually adapted to different product geometries as required. This project demonstrates how functional protective packaging made from PE foam can make an important contribution to product safety, process optimisation and sustainability.
