For a current packaging project, a custom-fit foam inlay was developed for a tool set. The aim was to securely fix the individual tool components in place, prevent damage during transport and, at the same time, create a clear layout. The inlay is made of robust, shock-absorbing PE foam and is cut precisely to fit the contours, so that each part has its own fixed place and it is immediately apparent if something is missing or has been placed incorrectly.
In addition to the protective aspect, the focus was also on ease of use: the set can be quickly removed and reinserted and remains durable even with frequent use. The clear structure gives the packaging a high-quality look and feel and supports a professional image with customers. Overall, the foam inlay combines functionality, safety and a neat presentation of the tool set.
