PU foam is the perfect "shock absorber" for very sensitive and fragile items. The round cavities provide the necessary fixation of the packaged product. PU foam (flexible polyurethane foam) is very light, reusable and has excellent cushioning properties. PU is therefore suitable for all packaging solutions where products have to arrive at their destination undamaged.
Due to the polyethylene foam, different properties of the material (UV resistance, temperature resistance) can have a positive effect on the packaging, which is particularly desirable for reusable solutions. Thermoformed plastic packaging has become indispensable in different automation processes. Small parts can be inserted into the thermoformed trays by robot. This is very advantageous for space optimization in large series production. Thermoformed packaging can be made of different plastics - transparent or colored, depending on customer requirements.

VDA 4500/4504 (German Association of the Automotive Industry) compliant KLTs have become an indispensable part of highly automated production processes. The main feature of the robust small load carriers is a rigid composite base and ESD protection. The material consists of 100% polypropylene, the temperature application range is -20° to 100° C and the containers are also largely resistant to oils, alkalis or acids.
A computer-based and almost completely automated warehouse for small parts is referred to as an "Automated Small Parts Warehouse" (AKL). The storage and retrieval of items carried out there is done systematically with the aid of so-called " mini-load bins", which make a significant contribution to ensuring that the IT-guided work process is carried out efficiently and safely. As a result, the small parts can be retrieved centrally at the predefined destination.
